The Sunstone DC Welder has the best low energy control, making it ideal to weld on fine wires and thin foil. It has got all the benefits and exceed a typical DC welder without the need of an external transformer or the use of transistors to control the energy output.

The Sunstone DC resistance spot welders can be connected to any welding accessory machine, but are often paired with the Sunstone Weld Heads to weld battery packs and electronic assemblies to achieve optimal results.

Our Sunstone DC Welder comes in 2 models, the linear DC, and the hybrid D-CD.

The linear DC model has a 10″ touch screen interface, allowing quick access to the welding controls. Also related to the interface, is the ability to update the welder’s software. This allows users to update features, functions, and capabilities effortlessly. This also means that custom software can be created based on specific customer requirements. he weld time duration can range from 0.1 up to 1000 milliseconds and is also adjustable by 0.01ms increments. In addition to setting weld current, voltage, or power, and the weld time for upslopes, welds, and downslopes, the linear DC can introduce high-frequency agitation to each of these weld parameters. This agitation feature provides additional weld penetration, more uniform metal crystallization, stronger weld joints, and can facilitate stronger weld joints with lower overall heat input.

The hybrid D-CD model provides a 2-in-1 solution. The Sunstone DC Spot Welder (D-CD320) combines both thermocompression bonding and capacitive discharge welding technologies, guaranteeing maximum productivity. It is designed for maximum versatility and productivity, providing reliable bonds and repetitive manufacturing processes.

Resistance welding ensures a clean process, not only around the weld area, but also the environment. A low-cost, mass production application, resistance welding induces no foreign material into the weld.
